UTMB mobile mammography coming to Friendswood
One of the featured services will be a UTMB mobile mammography unit.
UTMB’s own event calendar lists a mobile mammogram screening at the Friendswood Activity Building during the health fair’s 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. schedule.
Mammogram appointments require advance registration. Residents interested in scheduling a screening or obtaining a registration form can contact the Friendswood Activity Building at 281-482-8441. The event information also lists 832-505-1721 for mammography registration assistance.

The health fair is expected to include several additional services and resources.
Organizers are also advertising samples, snacks and prizes during the event.
A community resource in the center of Friendswood
The Friendswood Activity Building serves as the home of the city’s Senior Citizen Program but is also used for classes, meetings and other programs serving the broader community.
Located near the Friendswood Public Library in the downtown area, the facility includes fitness, meeting and multipurpose spaces and regularly hosts special programs and community events.
Bringing several health services into one location gives residents an opportunity to take care of preventive health needs while also learning about resources that may otherwise require separate appointments or visits.
Mammography requires advance registration. Residents should also bring applicable insurance information if they plan to receive vaccinations. Specific services may have their own eligibility or participation requirements.
What residents should know
The Community Health Fair runs for three hours Tuesday morning and early afternoon, so residents interested in a specific service may want to confirm any registration requirements before arriving.
For additional information about the health fair or the Friendswood Activity Building, residents can contact the facility at 281-482-8441.
